As part of the ongoing celebrations of the 20th Anniversary of  Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between India and Armenia, a painting exhibition titled ‘Mystic Reflections of India’ was organized at the Artists Union of Armenian in Yerevan from 10th to 18th April, 2013.  The event was organized by the Embassy of India in Yerevan in collaboration with the Artists Union of Armenian and the exhibition was jointly inaugurated by Mr. S. Manassarian, Deputy Foreign Minister and the Ambassador of India in Yerevan.  56 paintings and photographs done by four eminent Armenian painters/artists (Messers Suren Khorenyan, Anatoli Avetyan, Vardan Avetyan and Vladimir Simonyan) who visited Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Varanasi and Chennai in November 2012 at the invitation of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) were on display in the exhibition.  The exhibition was visited by the Armenian Minister of Culture on 11th April.

Coinciding with the inauguration of the painting exhibition on 10th April, an abridged version of famous Indian epic ‘Ramayan’ in Armenian language was formally released by the Armenian Deputy Minister of Culture Arthur Poghosyan. The translation in Armenian language was done by an Armenian national (Miss Hripsime Nersisyan) who studied Hindi at Kendriya Hindi Sansthan in Agra and paintings for the book by an Armenian artist (Andranik Asatryan).  The book has been published jointly by the Armenian Ministry of Culture and the Embassy of India in Yerevan.
