Ministry of Yoga in India as a method to solve the world problems
Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi has made personnel changes in the Government. The new Cabinet includes 21 new Ministers, among them the Minister of Yoga and Ayurveda.Prior to this, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of India had a Department of Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy (AYUSH). Now it was given the status of independent government structure. The approved annual budget of the institution is 100 billion rupees ($ 174 million.). The Ministry will be to develop the ancient methods of healing the body and mind, including Ayurveda, yoga and other methods of alternative medicine.
Modi himself is widely known as a great supporter of traditional therapies and a yoga devotee, reports TASS. At the 69th session of the UN General Assembly, Prime Minister of India proposed to the United Nations to establish June 21 as the International Day of Yoga. Resolution on the Establishment of the holiday was signed by the US, China, Nepal, Bhutan and Canada.
"Yoga is a priceless gift of our ancient tradition. It represents the unity of mind and body, thought and action, harmony of people with nature. It helps a person to feel oneness with yourself, others and with nature," - said Modi.
Recently, the Indian authorities have announced a campaign to popularize Yoga and Ayurveda worldwide and intend to create an integrated system of treatment based on the methods of traditional medicine and symptomatic therapy. In Armenia, a certain part of the population is interested in yoga and practices it. Yerevan has several yoga centers where you can practice yoga exercises. However, yoga - it's not just hatha yoga asanas - physical exercises, it is also improvement of qualities of the soul through self-knowledge and meditation.
There are opinions that Christians should not practice yoga because it is another religion. However, yoga is not a religion, it is an ancient science (the word is translated as unity, control, balance), it is a method of self-perfection.The goal of yoga is to achieve oneness, balance, awareness and an open heart.
