The 71st Republic Day of India was celebrated by the Embassy of India, Yerevan (Armenia). Ambassador of India to Armenia and Georgia, Shri K. D. Dewal hoisted the National Flag in presence of large number of guests comprising Indian nationals, Armenian nationals, Indian students and other friends of India. The guests braved (minus)-9 degree cold in the morning of the Republic Day. Ambassador read the address of the President to the nation delivered on the eve of Republic Day. A colorful cultural programme on the occasion was also showcased with participation of Indian students, local artists from the Indo-Armenian Friendship NGO, students from the Tuntunik Kindergarten School and Galik College, Ijevan. Performers performed on the patriotic themes.
